... November 2012 Gratitude List ...

We Are Grateful For ... 11/1: Halloween and seeing all the adorable kiddos dressed up in their costumes!! They really make us smile!! 11/2: Cell Phones. Every day we talk on his breaks - both of them - for the whole time ... we are grateful for cell phones - they help us miss each other just a little less when we are apart! 11/3: A nice dinner date to help us unwind from our day! 11/4: A whole extra hour to snuggle before starting our day today!! 11/5: Leftovers! Good meals when you don't feel well are much easier to deal with when you cooked well the day before!! 11/6: We are grateful that Rascal is okay today! Our late night/long drive vet visit last night was nerve - wracking, but she's been acting better today, and we are grateful! 11/7: We are so grateful for Nate's job, but we are also grateful that today is day 7 of Nate's 7 day run so that he can have a few days off! 11/8: Today we are very grateful for a day to spend together!! 11/9: Naps on the couch - exactly what days off are meant for! 11/10: Each other. This may seem redundant, but the fact that we still hug each other tightly and kiss each other deeply before Nate goes to work every day, and that we miss each other while he is at work, is something that we are extremely grateful for and don't take for granted, especially after we have been together for so long! 11/11: Sweaters, warm socks, blankets and snuggles on a chilly evening! 11/12: We are grateful for our crazy and adorable nephews and nieces, and for the technology that is available so that we can keep in touch with them on a consistent basis!! (Skype, text, email, FB)!! 11/13: We got a really nice letter from Nate's grandma today, and we are grateful to know that we are loved and missed! 11/14: Pinterest! We are grateful for Pinterest because it provides us with recipes that we otherwise would have never attempted - today we had lime chicken tacos and homemade donuts!! 11/15: Our home! We have noticed a lot of homeless people around town. They always remind us to be grateful, but it is getting cold and closer to the holidays, and our gratitude for our home has increased greatly. 11/16: Cheesy movies (i.e. Stick It) to help us unwind from the week!! Also that Nate finally has a Friday night off!! 11/17: Groceries! This is kind of the same thought as being grateful for our home, but we are grateful that we have enough money for groceries - for healthy meals and crackers and cheese and chocolate! 11/18: Families. We are so grateful for our families. We love them and we miss them so much! 11/19: Beautifulness (we think it's a word). It is a rainy day today, but there were a few moments where the blue sky broke through right above the mountains and it was absolutely gorgeous! 11/20: We are extremely grateful for Nate's creativity and daring-ness in the kitchen!! He turned what should have been a disastrous dinner into something wonderful!! 11/21: Music!! Whenever we are doing anything remotely productive in our house, music is a necessity! Tonight, while we prep for Thanksgiving tomorrow, it is definitely a must have!! 11/22: We are grateful for a wonderful dinner and for wonderful company! We are so glad that Tom could join us for Thanksgiving!! 11/23: Modern conveniences! Our dryer bit the dust and we are in the process of looking for a new one - sometimes we take for granted the simple act of doing laundry until something goes wrong and we realize how easy we really do have it!! 11/24: Getting out and staying in! I enjoy getting out of the house, Nate enjoys staying in when he is off work - luckily our schedules, to do lists and interests allow us both to be happy and balance out!! 11/25: Christmas Lights!! We put up our Christmas Tree and our other Christmas Decor and we just love the 'specialness' of having the Christmas lights up around the house! 11/26: Raid! Every once in a while our kitchen gets attacked (such as today) and we are grateful for Raid because it makes the war against them much easier!! 11/27: Life, memories and sweet Grandma McCombs! She passed away early this morning and we are so grateful for the life that she led and for the sweet memories that we have of her!! 11/28: Texts from our siblings that include photos of our nephews and nieces!! They make us smile our biggest smiles and bring so much joy to our day! 11/29: Mid week movie dates! Getting out of the house and spending a couple hours in Forks, WA through Southgate Cinema helped take our minds of things this week, and we are grateful for that! 11/30: Being grateful. We are grateful for our gratitude! These lists are always fun for us to do because we can look back over the month and see just how much we have to be grateful for!
