Quite a Scare

Our little Rascal gave us quite a scare this week! She was throwing up way too much, very lethargic and did want anything to do with us. She wouldn't eat or drink anything and she was breathing really shallow... we both freaked out a little bit, shed quite a bit of tears over the worst possible reasons she may not be feeling so well, and then we took her to the vet! It turns out she has off the charts hyperthyroidism (didn't know cats could get that) but because of the level of it she went a little crazy! We got some meds for her and we got her hydrated and she is already showing signs of feeling better! Through all of our emotion we realized how attached we are to the little furball and we are so grateful that she is okay and will be with us for quite a while more!

Finals Week

And that pretty much sums up what I have to say!

A Day Off

I've done it! I've managed to secure a WHOLE day to myself and I don't know how I did it! I'm done with my classes for the Semester! I've got two finals to take and one paper to write, but I'm not using my day off for school (or work) - I'm using it for me! So far this morning I've re-vamped my photo blog (you should hop on over there and tell me what you think), caught up on my e-mail and thought a lot about a photo shoot that I'm going to be doing in an hour or so! My plans for the day include: showering, the aforementioned photo shoot, maybe watching a chick flick (I'm open to suggestions) and perhaps some type of exercise! I'm also going to finish up the cocoon that I'm working on for a friend and perhaps start on a blanket!

I'm pretty stoked about my day, so I'm going to turn off the computer and get started!!

Christmas in April?

I was pretty tired yesterday! Why? Because I couldn't sleep the night before! Why? Because I knew that when I woke up yesterday morning I got to hang out with these awesome people!


Why? Because they are getting married and asked if I would take their engagements! They were outwardly giddy all day yesterday! I tried to remain a calm and composed photographer but on the inside I was happier than a kid at Christmas! We spent about 3 hours driving to different locations in Cache Valley and snapping over 400 photos! It was so much fun for me!

I also got to hang out with these guys as well!


They let me get a few shots of them and played assistant - and they were fabulous! Thanks guys!

Belated Easter Post

Easter this year was really nice for us! We started our celebrations by coloring eggs with Nate's family the Thursday before and I've got to say that there is something about hard boiled eggs and food coloring that makes the kid in me come alive! For some reason, I love it!

Saturday we headed out to Baby Animal Days to watch our nephews participate in the Mutton Chop (chase a goat to pull a ribbon off it's tail), ride ponies and experience some real live farm animals! It was a great time and I got some great pics of the boys (see my photo blog for those)!

Sunday we spent most of the day with Nate's family! We grilled for dinner (our first grill of the season) and it was SOOO good! For those of who who are grillers try these: pineapple, asparagus marinated in Italian dressing and sweet potatoes. You won't regret it, I promise! We headed out to my parents house for a bit in the evening to spread some Easter cheer to my mom (my dad was on the road)!

It was a really good day to spend with family! We are grateful for Easter and for the blessings in our lives that it represents!

Wastin' Time

Is there such a thing as "last month of school" fever? If there is, I've got it bad. I have been having such a hard time concentrating on homework! I'm sittin' on the couch, study props (cuz lets face it, that just what they are) in hand, and I can't seem to bring myself to work on my two 10 pages papers that are due Friday! My window is open and I can hear the birds chirping... I'm pretty sure when I'm done posting this I'm going for a walk! Maybe that will clear my head so that I can come back and study!


An a different note - I've been spending a lot of time playing with photos! I finally got Photoshop re-installed on our computer and didn't realize how much I've missed it! I enjoy Picnik and Picasa, but Photoshop makes me feel a little more professional! I'm excited about a couple of photo shoots that I have coming up (nothing big, just for fun) and can't wait until school is out so that I can play around with my camera more!

Handsome

My sister sent me these pics to edit of my handsome & adorable nephews!! I haven't seen them for about 10 months and I have to say, they are growing in to some handsome fellows!!
