Cathedral Hills

So Nate survived inventory - thank goodness -

and this last weekend, he finally had Saturday AND Sunday off!

On Saturday, we went to the Farmers Market 

and then spent a little time cleaning up the back 'yard' -

and on Sunday, we decided we wanted to do some exploring,

and at the suggestions of some locals we ended up hiking at Cathedral Hills!

It was a BEAUTIFUL hike and we ended up being out for about 3 hours!

We met some lovely families on the trail and it was nice to chat with them

about other things to do in the area! 

Anyway, here are some pics (ok, there are more than 'some')

so that you can see just how beautiful was!!

We were SO intrigued by this next flower! 

The petals were two different shades of purples, 

and they were EVERYWHERE!

Nate's keen eye caught this beautiful flower in between all the trees -

I handed him the camera and I am so in love with this shot!

It was just TOO gorgeous and I'm so glad 

we brought the camera with us!

We had such a lovely time and we were so glad

that we finally had time to get up into the mountains!!

Random April Fun ... 2013

We had a super awesome April!

The weather was BEAUTIFUL,

we worked hard and relaxed a lot,

and overall, it was a really good month!

Here is some of our random fun!!

I FINALLY grew up and decided that it was time

for me to learn how to grow some stuff!!

It started out with some simple things - you know,

carrots, green onions, peas and a few herbs ...

So far, they are still alive, and they have been introduced

to some new friends - tomatoes, raspberries, cucumbers,

and some other things - but they haven't sprouted yet,

so we'll see how that goes!!  Anyway, they

are still alive - so for that I am super proud - 

although there's still a lot of months left!!

I also got a hair cut!

I chopped a bunch off, and so far,

I am LOVING it ... although

I'm still getting used to not using so much shampoo!! :)

We had some more GORGEOUS days!!

And this beautiful bird appeared on our back patio!!

I took this picture through the screen because I didn't want to scare it away!

I have seen it a couple of times since I took this, and I just love how blue it is!!

We got some beautiful tulips to brighten our living room:

We snuggled on the couch and got addicted to '24' -

And I got back into photo mode while 'Glee' kept me company:

We tried out 'Lupita's' - it's a little tiny 'Taqueria' - it was pretty darn good -

especially the guacamole - it was delish!!

And of course, Rascal took a lot of naps!

Through the magic of the Internet, I met a few friends and met up with

them at 'Taprock' for some dinner! As you can see, it was beautiful!!

Now it's May - I can't believe that it is May - 

I can't believe that we have been here for 8 months - SO CRAZY!!

Figaro's Pizza & Caveman Bridge

Seriously? How did we get so lucky? The weather here in GP has been B E A U T I F U L!

We've had weather ranging from 65-85, and we are LUHVING every second of it!

The other night, after Nate got off work, we decided to try out another local pizza place -

because if you know Nate at all, you'll know that pizza is his other true love ...

We got it to go, and headed down to Riverside Park to enjoy the nice breeze

and the beautiful day that it was!!

As you can see, it was a gorgeous night and we had a great time!!
