June 29th

We had a pretty chill day this day!! In the evening, the boys went to see this ...

June 30th

I'm pretty sure that out of all of our days together, this one has been my favorite! It started with cinnamon rolls and smoothies (seriously, how can a day starting with cinnamon rolls and smoothies be bad? :)

We headed up to Spring Hollow for a picnic lunch and a walk up to the waterfall ...

And had a MASSIVE water fight!!







































We ended the day with a magic show by the girls and games!!

Catchin' Up w/the Tran Clan - Part 1

We have been having such a wonderful time with my sister and her family!! They are in between moves right now and we were more than stoked when we found out they were coming for a visit! Every day has been packed with wonderful things, so I'm just going to get on with it!!

June 23rd

...homework burning campfire ... Juniper Take Out ... late evening sprinkler cool down ... park ... getting to know the kiddos again ... chalk squiggle ... smores ... camera happy auntie ...




































































So much fun, and that was just the first day that we were together!! More to come, so keep your eyes peeled (I know, it sounds like we have such an exciting life, right? :)

Girls Night

As I said previously, my sister Jess is here for a visit with her family!! One of the first items of business was to have a Girl's Night!!



I only got a couple of photos, but it was really nice to do a little shopping, get pedicures & have a tasty dinner at Cafe Sabor!! Growing up, my sister gave me a wall hanging that said, "God Made Us Sisters, Love Made Us Friends." That saying has really stuck with me through the years and I am glad to have such close relationships with not only my sisters, but my sisters in law as well!!

Birthdays!!

It's that time of year again!! Nate & I just celebrated our 31st birthdays!! I posted below about my birthday dinner, but the festivities didn't end there! My sister Jess is here with her family (more posts about that are definitely coming) and her kiddos got pretty clever with the celebrations for both of us!!

When we got back from dinner with Nate's family for my birthday, we came back to this:


In case you can't see what it says: "Happy 75th Birthday Uncle Clar!" Aren't they funny?

And then they locked me inside until this was ready:




Yes. It is a mud cake. With rocks. And sparklers. And yes. They did make me dig for my gifts:




But it was worth it because then Ty made some tasty brownies!!


I had a great day and I'm glad that we got to spend it with both of our families!!

Nate's birthday was on Saturday! He spent the day golfing, but not taking any photos :)...

Enjoying a birthday dinner and getting sung to at Cafe Sabor where we gave Jack & Lizzie free reign of the camera again ...

The Wall

A few weeks back, I posted about a project that we were working on! We gathered all of the supplies and then some family came to town and we got busy. I arrived home from work on my birthday to find the project finished! My awesome and wonderful husband left work early to come home and surprise me! So, without further adieu, here it is:

We are really happy with the way that the wall turned out and I love that I now have some of my photos artfully displayed in our home!!
